Lee Myles was founded in 1947, not long after General Motors’ Oldsmobile Plant rolled the first automatic
transmission off the production line. In 1948, when Popular Science wanted to know about automatic transmissions, they interviewed
the company's founder, Lee Myles, at his first transmission center in Queens, New York.
